Organised by the Barnstaple Lions Club in association with Barnstaple Town Council. The Picnic in the Park on 30 May 2011. The weather was not quite what we hoped for but as the day progressed it did get better. All of the people that came enjoyed themselves and were entertained during the day by various bands, dancers and the arrival of the S.A.R. helicopter from Chivenor. (See the photo;s above) Plenty of stalls both charity groups and others joined us Our grateful thanks to all the people and organisations that made it a wonderful day. The profit made by Barnstaple Lions Club will be given to Children’s Hospice South West
